Best Video

On Thursday I join my great mates the Birdmen for a performance at our fave listening space.

We hit a 8, will be playing a set of my music, hope to see you there...

And thank you to Johnny Java for the ever creative posters!

The next couple of weeks...

...will see some interesting events: a performance in Boston at "Berklee in the Round" on April 10; shows in the DC area with Nick Depui the weekend of April 13; and I'll be interviewed live on radio WSVX Indianapolis by my Berklee buddy Penny Lane Diersing on Wednesday, April 18.

Going nationwide!

Bluegrass & Beer

Tonight, Thursday, March 29, we assemble yet again at the Acoustic in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, for another session in this long-running series. We have been meeting for 18 years, why stop now?

See you there...

Local Bands Anniversary

On Sunday at Cafe 9 we throw a bash celebrating the 30th year of a venerable institution, the long-running "Local Bands" show on WPLR. Against all odds, Rick Allison, the late James Velvet, and recently Frank Critelli have hosted this broadcast which only features local artists on the playlist--on a commercial radio station no less!

Incredible...

Big day in store: brunch at noon; special listening spots before the live music; Birdmen at 2; Big Fat Combo at 3; Jim Chapdelaine and Christine Ohlman at 4; plus guest appearances by all manner of fine artists.

Not to be missed...

St Patrick's Day, and more...

This coming Friday I join my great friends Eclipse for their annual St Patrick's day concert. It's a 7:30 showtime at the Suzuki school in Sandy Hook.

And on Sunday it's the next event in the Stockbridge & Berry Present series, this week featuring Chicks 'n Synch. They will perform from 1 - 3 in the showroom at 142 Main St North Southbury.

BITR

I'm proud to announce I was selected to appear at Berklee's songwriter showcase "Berklee In The Round" on Tuesday, April 10.

The event takes place at 7 PM at Berklee's performance venue, Cafe 939, on Boyleston St and features 4 or 5 writers chosen by the faculty of the songwriting department. Conducted in an "in the round" configuration like that of Nashville's Bluebird Cafe songwriter sessions, each writer performs 4 or 5 titles over the course of the evening.

To have been chosen is a real honor, I'm thrilled to be part of such a prestigious event...

Stockbridge & Berry Present...

My friends Kim and Erick are hosting a concert at their store, Stockbridge & Berry, on Sunday, March 4.

The show starts at 1 PM and features Brad and Bob of Cinnamon Sky performing as a duo.

Stockbridge & Berry is located at 142 Main St North in Southbury, CT.

The next show in the series will take place on Sunday, March 18 at 1 PM featuring Chicks 'n Synch.

Soaring...

...with the Birdmen this coming Friday, 2 March, at the sublime listening space that is Best Video.

I'll be performing a bunch of new material projected to comprise my next collection of original material.

Speaking of which, check out the video of one of those, "Red Brick Housatonic River Town" on the video page.

And a bazillion thanks to Matt Miklus and Aim D'Amaro for the incredible job they performed in producing this vid.

I am forever grateful and in your debt...

The Roar of the Grease Paint...

I join the faculty and students of the Performing Arts department at Sacred Heart University to play guitar in the pit band for their production of the play "Be More Chill".

I'd say attend--but it is sold out for the entire run of two weeks (Feb 15 - 26). Contact the box office in case of ticket holder cancellations...
